HanPoetryHanPoetry
Okay, as far as this poetry, I wrote it all. It's not my best stuff, but it's not doggerel like you might find elsewhere. So.... Aww, just read or leave!
Held
Into the distance
A ribbon of black
Stretched to the point
Of no turning back
A flight of fancy
Windswept field
Standing alone
My senses reeled
Fatal attraction
Is holding me fast
How can I escape
This irresistable grasp?
Understanding
Tossed aside angrily
Left alone the whole 9 yards
Why do you stand there so?
Is it me?
Is it you?
Do you realize that
All of your wishes
Have been granted in
Such a short time?
Or have they?
I don't know
All your wishes
I can't know
All your dreams
As I'm merely
A bit player
Quite hidden
Behind the scenes.
But I know of
People like you
Alas, I wish that
That were true
I know of only
What you show
Only that, which
Confuses me more.
Blue Eyes
Blinding,
Oh, so blue,
Deep and heavy,
Oh, so true,
Many memories,
Of days long past,
How is it,
That I can't ask,
What your eyes hide,
Will not reveal,
I try to search,
My senses reel,
For the cold hits,
And the blue blinds,
Hidden inside yourself,
By your deep, blue eyes.
Imagination
Every thought you think,
Every breath you drink,
Savored by billions
Who know of your millions
They want the chance
To show you romance
That's never been shown
To you before
But do they really know
How little you show
Of yourself that is true?
Have they even a clue?
Must you pretend
That around the bend
They'll know of your problems
And the things you must face
Do you ever wonder
If without your brothers
You would still be
All that you are?
Do you ever conclude
That in solitude
You'll still be
Admired from afar?
So let your imagination run
Free and wild
Answer the questions
That have been asked to you.
Imagination
Like that of a child
And to yourself
You will be true.
Fantasy
Temptation
At every corner
Elation
Around every bend
Dreams and
Endless fantasies
Fulfill our need
To pretend
And yet you are
The subject
And yet you will
Provide
A little bit
Of comfort
As I imagine you
By my side
Though it may
Seem hazy
And at times
A bit crazy
We imagine you
As our protector
And make ourselves
The protectee
For any life
You've shattered
You've saved
One hundred and three
So many thanks
We'd give you
To hear your voice
Close by
So very often
You've stopped us
As we were about to cry
So in a time
Where youth
And innocence
Do prevail
We ask you
Not to judge
What is or
Is not there
But should we ask
The same of ourselves
As you are in
The public eye
Or should we simply
Make amends
And comment on
Your eyes?
I sound a bit obsessed
At least to me
But that's not the way
It really is
In reality
I admire you
And would love to be
But a friend
But let me dream
Of having more
Show off my creativity
Even the score.
Past
We are happy
In the knowledge
That we are
who we are
But would we rather
Live a life
Just like yours
Or similar?
Screaming fans
And packed arenas
Seeing home
Less than more
Splendid hotels
Traveling
Tours and albums
Each night you sing
Imperfections unseen
Will be revealed
If you let us past
Your permanant shield.
Pull Me Closer
For the sake of love
And leather pants
How do you do
All that you do
Up on stage in front
Of the masses
When the most I can do
Is hide behind curtains
And meekly show
My backstage passes
You give me looks
And with your hooks
You draw me in
A bit closer
To see your eyes
And hear your voice
And pretend that it
Is all for me
Why is it that
I can't see
That everyone recieves
Those same little looks?
Everyone's pulled by
Your little hooks
And I'm just lucky
That I am closer
Than the others
Who feel so pulled
To be near you
To touch you
To know of the perfection
And imperfection
That is you.
Normal
You're an angel
Up on clouds
Your harp gold
Your voice abounds
Around the arena
In which I stand
How I long to
Touch your hand
I stand among
All these others
Who admire you
And your brothers
They want to know
What's so special
About a guy
So standardized
And yet so different
Almost surreal
You're normal
Is that how you feel?
On pedestals
You are placed
Rooms are plastered
With your face
More about you
Is known by some
Than you know
And can tell someone
You love to sing
And kind of dance
You love to wear
Tight, leather pants
We don't complain
As we don't see
All of your
Complexities
We tend to think
That you're like us
Screaming teens
Full of lust
But what's behind
That perfect facade
Facets unknown
That should be that way
Do you ever think
It will be revealed?
Why your garbage
They want to steal
A banana peel
An apple core
Not for you
You carnivore
Who else is there
When the cameras are not
Are you more normal
Or are you more hot?
Can you tell me that
Oh man who wore hats
When he was younger
And in your slumber
So you tend to snore
So much that you're
pushed out the door?
So much we don't know
That we would like to
Paintball and dirtbikes
Sports you now love, true?
So many questions
That if I could ask
It might end my hunger
Of accomplishing a task
That is far greater
Than what I must do
To ask the questions
That I ask of you.
Just You
It was your job
To lead me on
You did your
Job quite well
You made me think
I would be yours
Made me think
You could be mine
So please
Don't blame me
When the time comes
For you to be
Someone who could
Never hurt me
Though you do
And I fall
So you feel as though
You killed them all.
